ssam has been experiencing serious pests & diseases attack in crops. Mostly the infestation of Swarming Caterpillar and Rice Hispa have been reporting almost every year from different districts of Assam. The incidence of Ganoderma disease in Arecanut & Coconut, mealy bug in Papaya & vegetables etc are also reported now and then.
